Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Powering Limited, a company registered in Nigeria, which operates Powering.

By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to them.

The service

Powering Limited sells prepaid electricity tokens, airtime, mobile data, cable subscriptions and examination vouchers. We act as an intermediary between you and the companies that actually supply these - electricity distribution companies, mobile networks and others.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old
• The information you give us must be accurate
• You are responsible for keeping your password and PINs confidential
• Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has accessed your account
• One person, one account. Accounts may not be shared or sold

Your wallet

You may fund a wallet balance to pay for purchases. Wallet funds are for buying services on this platform. They are not a bank deposit, earn no interest, and are not covered by deposit insurance.

Purchases

Check your details

Meter numbers, phone numbers and smartcard numbers cannot be corrected once a purchase completes. A token sent to the wrong meter, or airtime sent to the wrong number, cannot be recovered. Please check carefully before confirming.

Prices

Prices are set by the service providers and may change without notice. Our service fee is shown before you confirm. The total displayed at confirmation is what you pay.

Delivery

Most purchases complete within seconds. Occasionally a provider is slow or unavailable. If a purchase fails, we refund it - see our Refund Policy.

WhatsApp service

You may buy through our WhatsApp bot. Because WhatsApp identifies you by phone number, spending through that channel is capped. Larger purchases can be made on the website.

Anyone holding your phone can use your WhatsApp. Set a login PIN, and delete PIN messages after sending them.

What you may not do

• Use stolen or unauthorized payment methods
• Buy for resale in breach of a provider's own terms
• Attempt to interfere with, probe or overload the service
• Create accounts to evade limits, suspensions or fraud controls
• Use the service for money laundering or any unlawful purpose

Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably suspect fraud, unlawful use or a breach of these terms. Where we can, we will tell you why. Any wallet balance is returned to you unless it is subject to an investigation or a legal requirement.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care to deliver what you buy. We are not responsible for failures caused by the service providers themselves, by your electricity meter or device, or by information you entered incorrectly.

Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the value of the transaction concerned.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
